What are you Focusing On?
In your normal everyday life, what do you focus on?
How busy your day is, how much you have to do? Do you focus on all the things you can’t get done? Do you focus on what you want in life but don’t have right now? Do you focus on the negative people and things around you?
A very good friend of mine reminded me yesterday, that I get to choose what to focus on. I have a sore foot, and it’s been getting more sore. With all this Mind/Body/Spirit stuff I am trying to figure out the emotional energy I’m holding. But what is happening… is that I am focusing on the negative, the pain. Law of Attraction says what I focus on I make bigger. What I put out I get back. So, is it really surprising to me that my foot is getting more sore? I have been thinking about the last few fitness classes that I have to teach, from the perspective of dread. How much sorer is my foot going to get? 3 more classes to work thru with a sore foot… It is absolutely impossible for my foot to feel any better when all I’m doing is putting negative energy into it.
How can I change my focus? Well I can think about things in this way… I only have 3 more classes to teach! I get to choose what to do in each class. I get to choose what feels the best for my foot.
OR I can completely not think about my foot at all! I can choose to think about the extra income from these classes, coming at the perfect time of the year! I can think about all of the amazing people I have had the privilege of spending time with every week since September! I can choose to look at the beautiful opportunity I was able to take advantage of in working at the Lakeside Multi-plex, and the incredible people I have gotten to know while working from there.
It can be easy to focus on the negative. It is all around us! But you see, we get to choose what we focus on. I don’t watch the new on purpose. Some of you may be aghast … how could I not know what is happening in the world? Well… how much of it is good news? It NEVER makes me feel good. I’d rather just not know. Who would you rather spend time with, someone who was cranky and depressed because they choose to look at and hold, all of the negative things happening around them? OR someone who choose to look at all the good and carried good and positive energy? I like the people with good energy. I’m drawn to them. They make me feel good and when I feel good then those people around me feel that good energy and maybe it will make THEM feel better.
Law of Attraction says that when we are vibrating from a place that feels good, that energy heals us. The more we hang out in that energy, the more our body heals. So right now, I am taking my friend’s beautiful advice, and I am choosing to focus on the positive, the things that make me feel better. I am going to look at the things I have that I am so incredibly grateful for… like my amazing friend that gave me the guidance I needed…just when I needed it! What do you choose to focus on?
