Finding Peace and Ease
Its amazing how we can create peace and ease with our thoughts. I wrote this article awhile ago… obviously on a beautiful summer’s day. And as I was proof reading, I was THERE… RIGHT THERE… IN THAT INCREDIBLE ENERGY SITTING ON MY DECK!

It’s 8:30 am Monday morning. I am sitting on my deck in the shade, looking at the calm lake and green hillside as the sun comes up and shines over everything. I can hear the birds singing and the traffic humming, as vehicles drive by on the highway. The flowerpots on my deck are lush with purple, red, yellow, orange, and green. This is MY place of Peace and Ease. Right now while I am physically in this space in time I can tune into the feeling of the light cool breeze on my skin. Hear the birds chirping and singing their songs. Look at the lake and see the reflection of the trees on the hillside in the calm water. Appreciate the green leaves on the trees that give shade from the sun. This is my happy place. This is my place of PEACE AND EASE. The absolute and most amazing thing about this place is that I can access it anytime I want. I just have to go there in my mind.
Where is your place of Peace and Ease? Is it on or by water? Is it on a beach by the ocean or lake? Or the gravel bank of a river? Is it in the mountains? Way up high and rocky, or on a trail in the forest? Is it in your home, a special place for only you? Or is your place of peace and ease surrounded by family or friends.
If you were to close your eyes right now, could you go to your place? Could you feel it? Could you imagine it, all of it? The sounds and smells to the sensations all around you?
What if the experience of Peace and Ease was just a feeling inside of you? What if Peace and Ease was something you could actually experience any time you wanted to… you just had to allow yourself to feel it? What if inside of us, there is a place of Peace and Ease that already exists, it’s just a matter of choosing to go there?
Sounds simple doesn’t it? Well I believe it is just that simple. It may not always be that easy, but definitely that simple. Our minds are pretty incredible things. I bet even if you’ve never been on my deck physically, you were able to imagine the things I described, and created your own place of Peace and Ease just by thinking about it.
It is easy to get caught up in day to day stresses. The news doesn’t very often show us good and happy things. Facebook is filled with those venting and complaining. It doesn’t take long to get sucked down into that negative place, and from there, start to think about and feel all the things around us that make us feel negative too. But what if… you could choose… to change that FEELING? What if… you could allow yourself to go to a place of Peace and Ease instead? What do you think your day would look like if you choose to start it, change it, or end it from a place of Peace and Ease? All it takes is the awareness that it is possible, and the desire to want to live from a place that feels better. The rest is already there in your mind, to remember or just to imagine, anytime you choose.
